Freedom of the Borough

Soldiers from the Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry have marched through the streets of Oadby and Wigston after being awarded freedom of the borough.

Despite the weather, hundreds lined the streets to cheer on the regiment.

The Leicestershire and Derbyshire Yeomanry will be granted Freedom of the borough of Oadby and Wigston today.

Over 60 soldiers will march through the streets, along with armoured vehicles and the Royal Yeomanry Band.
