Ambulances and fast response car damaged in serious fire
Three vehicles used by East Midlands Ambulance Service have been badly damaged in a fire.
It happened at a fleet workshop in Alfreton where the vehicles are stored and maintained.
No one was injured but two ambulances and one fast response car were damaged beyond repair. East Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed it's not impacting on their ability to respond to emergency calls.
The fire was not started deliberately. A spokesperson for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue confirmed the blaze originated from an engine compartment in one of the vehicles.
