Police 'increasingly concerned' for missing midwife
Police investigating the disappearance of a midwife from Stafforshire say they are becoming "increasingly concerned" for her welfare.
Samantha Eastwood has not been seen since the morning of Friday 27 July, when she finished her night shift at the Royal Stoke University Hospital.
Colleagues raised concerns after she didn't return for her next night shift later that day.
Officers say the disappearance "completely out of character" for her. It is being treated as a high risk missing person enquiry.
A 32-year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent was arrested on suspicion of kidnap on Sunday 29 July. He has since been released on conditional bail.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Dan Ison, said:
Officers have been carrying out house-to-house enquires and are trawing CCTV to trace her movements.
Her family are being supported by specially-trained officers.
