'Women in Sheds' project launched to combat loneliness

Age UK is building on the success of its hugely popular 'Men in Sheds' project in Loughborough by starting a weekly session for women.

The 'Women in Sheds' scheme launched just in time for International Women's Day.

The garden shed is no longer a man's sacred refuge. Retired women are being encouraged to get together and socialise while learning new skills and getting creative.
