East Midlands Weather: Cloudy with heavy showers

Today:

A cold start, with some icy patches. Rather cloudy throughout, with early spells of sleet changing to rain as milder air spreads northwards. Rain becoming heavier and more persistent later in the afternoon, with extensive low cloud and some mistiness.

Tonight:

Rather cloudy with rain largely clearing by the early hours. Milder than of late, although some icy patches are possible in areas with surviving snowfields, as well as some fog.

Tomorrow:

On the cloudy side but drier than Sunday, with some limited sunny intervals and temperatures nearer average for the time of year. Perhaps becoming wetter in the south later on.

Outlook for Tuesday to Wednesday:

Milder than of late, but periods of low cloud and fog are likely, with some brighter intervals and some spells of rain. Overnight frosts and icy patches remain possible.
