Adam Peaty gives medal away to 10-year-old
Olympic champion Adam Peaty from Staffordshire won the British Championships last night, and then gave his medal away to a 10-year-old in the crowd.
Peaty, who is 22-years-old and from Uttoxeter, booked his passage to the World Championships in Budapest with a time under 58 seconds. He then asked schoolboy Harry Brancham if he would like his medal.
He said he hoped it would inspire the youngster! And it seems like it did...Harry told ITV News Central that he is "a very big fan, because he does the same stroke as me". He said he would wear the medal for "a while".
His mother was over the moon too!
