Hundreds of people have lined the streets of Wolverhampton earlier as they came together to celebrate Vaisakhi.

Every year, thousands of Sikhs up and down the country celebrate the birth of the Khalsa - the term for the collective of initiated Sikhs who keep a distinct physical identity and moral code of conduct gifted to them by the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

Vaisakhi falls on April 13th, but is celebrated throughout the month. This involves a series of vibrant parades like this one along Goldthorn Park.
