Man arrested after alleged racist assault on Polish woman

A man has handed himself in to police in connection with an alleged racistassault in which a Polish woman had her nose broken in Coventry.

The 34-year-old victim also suffered a fractured cheekbone in the attack which happened as she was walking home after a night out with her boyfriend.

The assailant is alleged to have first racially abused the woman and then hither after she confronted him.

The incident happened at the Coventry SkyDome Arena in December last year.

West Midlands Police said in a statement on Wednesday that a 20-year-old man had been voluntarily interviewed, 24 hours after issuing an appeal forinformation.
