Birmingham Airport set for busiest ever Christmas

Birmingham Airport is set to see its busiest ever Christmas as over half a million passengers are expected to travel through the terminal over the festive period.

In total 505,451 people will travel through the airport between Friday 16th December and Tuesday 3rd January. That is a 21.2% increase compared to last year.

The busiest day overall is expected to be Monday 2nd January when 30,077 passengers will be welcomed through the Midlands gateway.

On Christmas Day, the expected amount of total passengers is 13,590. The top three destinations on Christmas Day will be Dubai, Tenerife and Malaga.
