Artisan Food: Giving British treats an American twist

In the final part of our series on up and coming artisan food producers in our region, we meet Trista Smith from Nottingham.

Trista is from California, and works from home as a freelance editor. When she came to the UK she struggled to find supplies of her favourite nut butters, that she was used to back home.

She decided to have a go at making her own, but with a distinctly British twist. Her versions are Bakewell Tart Nut Butter, Gingerbread Nut butter and the soon to be released Mince Pie Nut Butter.

Trista sells her butter to local delis and online, and says she's really hoping to give up the day job and concentrate on it full time.
