Today marks one year since 15-year-old Kayleigh Haywood was raped and murdered. The Measham teenager was groomed online for two weeks by a man she had never met.

Today specially trained PCSOs will be at a Leicestershire college to show a film created to warn teenagers about the dangers of speaking to strangers online.

'Kayleigh's Love Story' was put together by her family and Leicestershire police. It has won a Royal Television Society award and a Clarion award. The Clarion Awards are known by those in corporate and charity sectors as the "Oscars of specialist video".

The film tells the story of the last two weeks in the life of Kayleigh Haywood, who was groomed by Ibstock resident Luke Harlow.

She eventually agreed to spend the evening at his house. Two days later she was raped and murdered by his next door neighbour, Stephen Beadman.

28-year-old Harlow was jailed for 12 years for grooming, sexually assaulting and falsely imprisoning Kayleigh. 29-year-old Stephen Beadman was jailed for 35 years for raping, murdering and falsely imprisoning her.

The film, made on behalf of Leicestershire Police by Affixxius Films of Loughborough, was shot on location over five days in February this year with a professional cast. There has been a scheme to show the five minute film to every child aged 11 and above in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland in controlled screenings by specially-trained Police Community Support Officers.

Kayleigh's family will hold a memorial service later today to mark the first anniversary of her murder.
