Police have issued a warning today ahead of the annual bonfire night celebrations expected to take place across the region this weekend. Officers say whether you are planning to host a fireworks party yourself, or attend an organised event, there are things you need to think about to make sure that your remember the fifth of November for all the right reasons.In a warning to residents West Mercia Police said:

It's illegal to let off fireworks in a public place, so police say taking bangers and rockets to local a park or open space is not an option and they have the power to stop and search anyone suspected of carrying fireworks.If you are caught letting fireworks off you could be issued with a fixed penalty notice (FPN) and have to pay an £80 fine. If you are taken to court you could end up with a fine of up to £5,000.Police added:
