Entertainer Bobby Bragg dies following cancer battle
Tributes have been paid to the entertainer and compere Bobby Bragg who has died following a two year battle with pancreatic cancer. Bobby was perhaps best known for his witty sense of humour and his well-known ‘warm up’ performances ahead of big entertainment TV programmes, particularly across the Midlands, throughout the 1970s, 80s and 90s.
The Banbury born entertainer spent his life introducing programmes such as Dale Winton’s Supermarket Sweep, Gladiators and the hugely popular Bullseye.Fellow entertainers took the twitter following the announcement of Bobbie’s death by his son, with many recalling his natural talent and huge likeability.Proving you can’t beat a bit of Braggy.
Bobbies son Matt announced the death on Twitter while a previous 'Tweet' from the man himself showed despite his battle he continued to maintain his sense of humour.
Actor and comedian Ted Robbins described him as a TV Legend.
