A holidaymaker at Birmingham Airport almost missed her flight to Greece after she was locked inside a Boots in the departure lounge.
The woman, believed to be Dutch, had been doing some last-minute shopping in the shop on Saturday at around 9.30pm, when the store closed its doors for business.
Staff went home, closing the shop and drawing down the shutters with the woman still inside.
It was only after a passing male passenger alerted security that the woman was eventually freed.
The unnamed man from Solihull, who helped free the woman said:
The woman, who was on a 10.45pm flight to Greece, and was apprently travelling with a friend, appears to have made her flight.
A spokesperson from Birmingham Airport said they were aware of the issue and were liaising with Boots to understand what had occurred.
