Twycross Zoo announce Chimpanzee death

Twycross Zoo has released a statement today announcing the death of male Chimpanzee Mongo. The 22 year old passed away unexpectedly yesterday while undergoing a healthcheck.

In a statement the Zoo said:

A preliminary examination has revealed that he also had some signs of cardiac disease however a full post mortem will be carried out.
