Cyclist dies in collision on London Road in Leicester
A cyclist has died after a collision with a van this afternoon on London Road in Leicester.
Officers were called to the scene of the incident at 1.20pm. The cyclist was taken to hospital where he died as a result of his injures.
A 49-year-man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and is currently in custody.
London Road was closed between Station Street and the entrance to the train station, in the direction of Victoria Park, but has since been re-opened.
