Mark Cooper appointed as manager of Notts County
Notts County have appointed Mark Cooper as the club’s new Manager on an incentivised deal until the end of the season.
The club's ex-manager Jamie Fullarton was sacked after Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at home to Exeter City in Sky Bet League 2 after less than three months in the job. Owner Ray Trew has appointed Cooper to oversee matters until the end of the current campaign.
However, if Cooper was reach an agreed points total, it has been agreed that it would trigger a permanent contract for him at Meadow Lane.
Announcing the deal, Mr Trew said:
Cooper will meet up with his new squad on Monday and immediately set about preparing for his first game in charge, away to Portsmouth next weekend.
