Police 'very concerned' for woman seen being 'forced into car'

Officers are "very concerned" for the welfare of a woman who was seen apparently being forced into a car near Shrewsbury.

Witnesses described seeing a man forcing the woman into a small navy blue car in Brookfield, Minsterley at around 2.50pm on Saturday afternoon, West Mercia Police said. The car is believed to be the same size as a Honda Jazz or Vauxhall Corsa.

Nobody has been reported missing in connection with the incident, police added.

Inspector Rebecca Bishop said:

The woman is described as white, in her late teens or early 20s, of slim build with brown, curly hair. She was wearing denim trousers, a pink padded jacket and orange trainers.

The man who was driving the car is described as white, in his late 20s or early 30s, about 5ft 8in in height, with a large build and short dark hair. He was wearing a navy shirt and denim trousers.
