Passengers evacuated after train fire at Lapworth rail station

All passengers were evacuated from a London Midland train this morning after wheels of a train caught fire at the Lapworth Railway Station in Warwickshire.

The incident was reported at about 8:11am today.

Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Services have confirmed this involved one passenger train consisting of 5 carriages, smoke issuing from underside front of train.

National Rail have reported disruptions between Birmingham Moor Street and Leamington Spa.

Delays are expected on various routes till 12:00pm.
