Parents of missing Kayleigh Haywood plead for her to come home
The parents of a missing 15-year-old girl have made a heartfelt appeal in the hope it will help find their daughter.
Kayleigh Haywood, from Measham, was last seen at 6pm on Friday 13th November when she was dropped off outside Ibstock Community College, in Central Avenue.
Kayleigh’s mum and dad, Stephanie Haywood and Martin Whitby, described her as a bubbly, loving, caring girl who loves her family.
Appealing directly to her they said:
Since her disappearance was reported to police detectives have trawled CCTV, carried out house to house enquiries and spoken to her friends, family and school.
This evening cadets and volunteers have been distributing leaflets across Ibstock, in the hope it will prompt new information into the whereabouts of the missing teenager.
Meanwhile, residents are being encouraged to search their back gardens and outbuildings, no matter how small they may be, leaving specially trained officers to undertake the coordinated searches.
Magistrates have granted officers a further 36 hours to question two men who have been arrested in connection with her disappearance.
