Lorry ploughs into tree and smashes into house

A lorry has collided with a tree and smashed into a house in Sharnford this morning.

Leicestershire Police and the fire service were called to the crash at just before 8am on Bumblebee Lane.

It's being reported the fire service smashed the windscreen of the lorry to rescue the trapped driver.

It is also believed the owner of the house was in shock but not injured.
