Information and advice on the issues of bullying
A 16-year-old girl has avoided a custodial sentence after a video showing her bullying two 14-year-old girls in Northfield in Birmingham was viewed 11 million times.
The girl, who cannot be named, appeared at Birmingham Youth Court where she was ordered to undergo 10 months of supervision, while her mother must pay £500 compensation.
The girl's solicitor told the court she had received thousands of death threats after her identity was shared online. Reading a statement on behalf of the girl afterwards, she said the teenager was deeply sorry.
Our presenters spoke to Dr Christine Harrison from the University of Warwick on the issues of bullying.
