Stars watch as special school building officially opened
A special school in Leicester, which has moved to a new £11m building,has officially been opened.
Ellesmere College, which has 240 pupils, is the only special school inthe country to get a complete rebuild under the Building Schools forthe Future Programme.
The new site boasts a top-class sports hall, a sensory room and anInternet cafe.
It was opened by Baroness Campbell of Loughborough, who chairs theYouth Sport Trust, the City Mayor Sir Peter Soulsby and formerLeicester City star Emile Heskey.

There was also a special assembly featuring performances from thechildren and a speech from ex-pupil Lee Penfold, who is now aLeicester School Ambassador and a basketball player with the BritishSpecial Olympics team.
