Murder investigation after 19-year-old stabbed to death
A murder investigation has begun after a 19-year-old man was stabbed to death in the Northfield area of Birmingham.
Police were called to Bristol Road South shortly before 17:00 yesterday afternoon to reports of a stabbing outside the KFC restaurant.
Sheriff Mbye died in hospital just two hours later. A second man is in a critical condition in hospital with stab wounds.
Forensic officers are at the scene this morning.
An 18-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
A small number of other men are also believed to have been involved and police are trying to identify them.
Police are speaking to local people and detectives will be viewing CCTV footage.
A post mortem examination will take place today to find out the exact cause of death.
