CCTV of car released after 93-year-old seriously injured in hit and run

Police investigating a collision where the driver failed to stop, leaving a 93-year-old woman with serious injuries, have released an image of the car which hit her.

It is part of an appeal to trace the driver involved in the incident when Isobel Rawes was struck as she crossed Stafford Road in Shirley near Solihull.

It happened outside the Staples store on 24 March at around 11.50am. She remains in hospital being treated for her injuries.

The driver of the car didn't stop at the scene, leaving the victim lying in the road as they drove away in the direction of the M42.

After looking through CCTV, police have identified the car as a silver Chrysler Voyager. They believe it will have damage to the front passenger side.
