Woman writes heartfelt song about Creme Egg recipe change

A woman has written an emotional song about changes to the chocolate shell of Cadbury's Creme Egg.

Boo Detch posted her heartfelt composition to YouTube. In the song, she pleads with Creme Egg to "tell me that this rumour isn't true".

The egg-straordinary song has only had 11 views so far, but could well become a campaign anthem for Creme Egg fans who have been left disappointed with the quality of the chocolate in this year's batch.

Yesterday, Cadbury released an official statement defending the Creme Egg, but detractors say it tastes 'cheap' since the brand changed its recipe.

A million Creme Eggs are made every day at the 200-year-old firm's Bournville factory.
