Stephen Sutton given honorary degree

Charity fundraiser Stephen Sutton has been awarded a posthumous honorary degree from Coventry University.

The 19-year-old from Burntwood in Staffordshire, who died in May, received an MBE from the Queen last week for his fundraising efforts. Some of the money he raised is being spent on new scholarship programme at the university to train people in treating teenage cancer patients.
