Nottingham Forest Academy honours Nigel Doughty
The Nottingham Forest Academy is to be officially renamed the Nigel Doughty Academy this morning, in memory of Doughty, who passed away earlier this year.
The father-of-four was found collapsed in the gym of his home in Skillington, Grantham in Lincolnshire earlier this year.
Doughty saved the club from administration when he bought it in 1999.
When fans heard the news, tributes poured in to the chairman.
In July the club's new owners, the Kuwaiti-based Al-Hasawi family, took control after buying Doughty's controlling stake in Nottingham Forest. They also paid tribute to his work:
