More than 105,000 applicants for just 300 Humberside police jobs

More than 105,000 people applied for just 300 positions at Humberside police following the latest recruitment drive this summer.

Bosses at the force are looking for new sets of skills for twenty first century policing and have not failed to meet demand.

Applications closed on 7 August and successful applicants will face rigorous interviews, fitness and medical tests over the coming months.
