Travel: M1 West Yorks long delays due to overturned lorry

There are major delays on the M1 motorway in West Yorkshire after a lorry overturned.

The southbound carriageway is closed between junction 48 A1(M) Hook Moor and junction 46 A63 (Leeds Colton / Garforth). Part of the northbound carriageway is also closed.

The tanker overturned on the central reservation just after junction 47 at around 1.30pm. There are long tailbacks. Diversions are in place.
