Tour de Yorkshire organisers on tour of Yorkshire
Organisers of the Tour de Yorkshire are on their own tour of the county today to find out how final preparations are going.
Sir Gary Verity and Christian Prudhomme are visiting schools, communities and businesses ahead of the races this weekend.
Today they will be in Barnsley and Scarborough and tomorrow will visit Tadcaster.
This year's Tour de Yorkshire - the third - is set to be the biggest yet, with a record 36 teams competing, three more than last year, when two million spectators lined the streets.
The men’s race – which takes place from April 28-30 – will include nine Tour de France teams from the seven UCI World Tour teams, five Pro Continental outfits and six British-based squads.
The women's race, on April 29, will have a record 18 teams, including 11 of the world's top 14.
