Special screening of Second World War film gives Sheffield families glimpse of late relatives
Families from South Yorkshire have been given a glimpse of their late relatives filmed during the Second World War.
A film created by the Army Welfare Department to boost the morale of families in the UK and troops based in the Far East back in 1944 has been screened in Sheffield.
Members of 15 Sheffield families were tracked down for the screening so that they could see their dads, granddads, brothers and uncles during their time in service.
The men, who have all since died, were filmed delivering messages to loved ones back home.
