Jess Ennis-Hill off to strong start with heptathlon hurdles win

Jessica Ennis-Hill has won her heat in the first event of the Rio 2016 heptathlon, posting the fasted time of all competitors on the track.

The Sheffield star began the defence of her Olympic heptathlon title with a hurdle time of 12.84, slower than her 12.54 personal best, but faster than her Team GB rival Katarina Johnson-Thompson.
