It happened on Sunday July 17 at around 1.15pm when the cyclist was travelling towards Hebden Bridge on Keighley Road and a Vauxhall Zafira travelling in the opposite direction collided between the market town and Peckett Well.

The cyclist, a 32-year-old man, died at the scene. Two other male cyclists travelling with the victim were uninjured.

Another cyclist then collided with a van that had stopped to help. He was taken to hospital for treatment. Police are treating the incidents separately.

I would appeal to anyone who was travelling around the area on Sunday afternoon who may have seen either the cyclists, or the vehicle prior to the incident or anyone who witnessed the collision itself to come forward. Enquiries are ongoing."
