More tributes for Kestrel and a Knave author Barry Hines

More tributes have been flooding in for Barnsley author Barry Hines.

He died on Friday - after battling Alzheimer's for a number of years.

Speaking to Calendar, playwright John Godber said: ''He was a real inspiration to me and many others.

''I remember going to the world premiere of the film Kes when I was 12. he will be sadly missed.''
