Today is the last day for people to have their say on plans to convert a piece of ancient woodland in Sheffield into a motorway service station.

Developers are seeking permission to build on the site in Smithy Wood.

The planning application submitted by the 'Extra MSA' group proposes to build a new motorway service in the middle of the site, situated close to Junction 35 of the M1 in the Ecclesfield/Chapeltown area of Sheffield. The development would include a large fast food court, 80-bed hotel, petrol station and car park.
