Firefighters continue to damp down Crofton barn blaze
Firefighters are continuing to damp down a huge blaze at a farm at Crofton, near Wakefield.
It broke out at around 12.40am and has destroyed a barn and several HGV vehicles.
Two very large stacks of hay remain alight and are burning out under controlled supervision from firefighters. One of the stacks was within the barn, which has collapsed due to the fire. The other stack is in the open air.
No people or animals have been hurt in this incident and no surrounding properties are at risk.
Fire services say the incident will require 24-hour attendance from firefighters over the weekend and possibly longer.
Doncaster Road remains closed for the time being.
