Leeds diving star Hannah Starling has announced her retirement from diving.

The 20-year-old Commonwealth Games bronze medallist, who competed at the London 2012 Olympics, said she had fallen out of love with the sport and instead wants to return to university to study medicine.

Starling, who won bronze in the women's three-metres springboard at Glasgow 2014, wrote: "I was never about the winning, I just cared about enjoying it and being happy, and if I'm not doing that any more then it is time to move on. I've had a good career which I will be ever thankful for. Now it is time to gain new experiences and to apply to Medical school like I have always wanted."
