Refinery fined £1.4m after creating 'an inevitable risk of death'
The safety failings of the company which ran Lindsey Oil refinery in north Lincolnshire "created an inevitable risk of death" a judge has said.
The comments came as oil firm Total UK were fined after a major fire at the plant near Immingham which killed one of their workers.
24-year-old Robert Greenacre died in the blaze in June 2010. His parents were in court to hear today's sentencing.
