The 25-year-old was found guilty of using Stanozolol after traces of the drug were found in a urine sample given last September.

The National Anti-Doping Panel has handed him a two-year ban until September 2016, but he says he appealing against it - claiming his drink was spiked by his brother.

The Panel says it cannot make any further comment until the appeal process has been dealt with.

UK Anti-Doping (UKAD) can confirm an independent National Anti-Doping Panel (NADP) has issued a decision to Abdul-Barry Awad (also known as Kid Galahad), his legal team, the relevant national governing body and UKAD.

UKAD is subject to strict confidentiality restrictions imposed by the WADA Code, and therefore, to protect the rights of all involved, until a conclusion of any appeal windows or appeal we are unable to provide further comment.

Once due legal process is concluded, all anti-doping rule violations are published on the UK Anti-Doping website.
