Fire at Leeds recycling plant

West Yorkshire fire crews have been called out to a recycling plant at Knowsthorpe Way, Cross Green, Leeds at 3.30am this morning.

Six fire appliances are on the scene. A spokesman says the blaze involves a recycling machine. It has then spread to the building which is150m x 100m. 2 jets and 1 ground monitor are n use.

The hose laying unit is en route from Mirfield. Appliances from Gipton, Leeds and Hunslet are attending.
