North Yorkshire woman dies after car leaves road and catches fire

A 37-year-old woman has died after the car she was driving left the road and caught fire. It happened on the B1253 High Street at Rudston.

Police said the driver, Susan Fulcher of Foxholes in North Yorkshire, was the only person in the car at the time of the accident. She suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw the blue Ford S-Max travelling on that road before the accident to contact them.
