Keighley Cougars relegated from Rugby League's Championship

Keighley have been relegated from the Kingstone Press Championship on a dramatic final day of the regular season.

Four clubs were battling to avoid becoming the fifth club to drop into Championship One in 2015 and it came down to the final minute at Cougar Park, where Keighley conceded a last-gasp try to go down 26-24 to Featherstone.

Meanwhile John Kear, the man who brought Wakefield back from the brink of relegation from Super League in 2006, repeated the feat for Batley as they gained a 34-10 win over Doncaster at the Keepmoat Stadium to preserve their status in the second tier of the professional game ahead of the re-structuring.
