UKIP are celebrating a victory in Hull, having gained their first seat in the city's council.
Richard Barrett ousted long-serving Labour councillor and former Lord Mayor David Gemmell.
Labour lost two seats, but gained two, resulting in an overall hold. The Lib Dems managed to hold on to their role as official opposition, losing only one seat.
Labour now have 39 seats, the Liberal Democrats have 15, the Conservatives 2, Independents 2 and UKIP 1.
