Second person charged for malicious communications over Ann Maguire murder

A 42-year-old man will appear in court today charged with "malicious communications" following the murder of teacher Ann Maguire.

West Yorkshire Police said Robert Riley, from Port Talbot, South Wales, was charged yesterday and will appear before magistrates in Leeds today.

Riley is the second person to be charged with the offence in the wake of the death of Mrs Maguire, who was stabbed to death in her classroom at Corpus Christi Catholic College, in the city, a week ago.

Jake Newsome, 21, from the Harehills area of Leeds, was released on bail after being charged for the alleged abuse, officers said.
