15,000 tonnes of tyres going up in smoke in North Yorkshire.
The blaze can be seen from space, and more than 70 firefighters have spent the day at the recycling plant in Sherburn in Elmet.
Local residents and nearby schools were told to keep their doors and windows shut and the fire service believe they will be on site for weeks.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
