£300m spent already on HS2

It's been revealed that more than £300 million has already been spent by officials in charge of the HS2 rail project.

The high speed line aims to link the region to London when the second phase is completed by 2033. Figures from the Taxpayers Alliance show that the publicly funded company set up to oversee the project has spent the money on things like engineering plans and promotional videos.
