Six horses killed in barn fire

South Yorkshire Police say six horses were killed at the fire at Brooklands Farm in Toad Lane, Brampton-en-le-Morthen.

About 25 firefighters tackled the blaze which broke out on Friday night, destroying about 2,000 bales of hay.

Officers are working with Fire and Rescue crews to investigate the cause. Nearby roads were closed at the height of the blaze.
