Debate on future of Sheffield libraries

Councillors in Sheffield are meeting today to discuss the future of sixteen libraries. They need to save almost two million pounds from the authority's library budget by twenty sixteen.

But the proposal has met with opposition from the public, with around 13,000 people signing a petition calling for the libraries to be kept in their local communities.
