Campaigners against library closures in Lincolnshire have been handing in petitions today.
Campaigners hoping to save 32 libraries from closure across Lincolnshire, held a protest earlier, and also handed in petitions containing more than four thousand new signatures to the County Council.
The petitions were presented by 'Save Lincolnshire Libraries' on the steps of County Hall in Lincoln. A formal consultation period over the plans ends today, with a final decision expected in December.
The council says it will now analyse the responses it has had. One local school also dropped off more than 1500 consultation documents as the protest took place. Councillor John Hough explains more.
At around 11pm on Friday night police were called to Darley Avenue in Athersley to reports that a man had been stabbed.
